About Alumni Association

Since the establishment of the institution in 1961, the college feels proud of dynamic and well-placed alumni who maintain a regular link and rapport through an active Alumni Association. The Alumni association of the college called "Home Science Alumni Association", contributes significantly by providing financial aid and academic cooperation. It has 07 appointed office bearers to ensure its smooth functioning. The registered association has a long list of illustrious and prominent alumni, many of whom have dedicated their lives to service through various roles in community and are making tremendous contributions to the society in different fields of education, judiciary and business. It is worth mentioning that majority of our alumni are placed as dietitians in the leading hospitals (Govt. and Corporate), counselors and Home science teachers in colleges and schools, Principals and Dean in educational institutes of Home Science  in Northern India. The college boasts of alumni as successful entrepreneurs running their own startups such asTea Kombucha, Dt. Shreya, Dietaura, The Knot Store to name a few.

The focus of Alumni association has always been generous to support under- privileged and meritorious students. Needy students are helped from time to time by the distinguished alumni of the college through free ships.  They also sponsor prizes during major college events such as fashion shows, exhibitions and college fests.

The role of the alumni in progress of the institution is manifold. Regular peer learning workshops, demonstrations and talks are organized by illustrious alumni from various fields.  This helps the students to interact with former students engaged in different professions having varied set of skills which enable them to explore vocation of their interest. These regular interactions serve as an additional source of mentoring and keep the students motivated and focused.
