Government Home Science College is a prestigious institute which has undergone a long successful journey of expansion in the field of Home Science by initiating need based and career oriented specialized programmes. The college offers five specific undergraduate programs namely Apparel and Textile Design; Dietetics; Human Development/Human Development & Family Relations; Interior Design & Resource Management and Composite. The college also offers an undergraduate self-financed program in Fashion Designing.

Masters degree programs are offered in Clothing and Textiles, Foods and Nutrition and Human Development/Human Development and Family Relations.

The job-oriented Postgraduate Diploma programs are offered in Fashion Designing, Nutrition and Dietetics and Child Guidance and Family Counseling

Ph.D. in Home Science with course work is an attraction for researchers from all over the country.
