College Carnival 2018

The college organised a one day carnival in the campus. The theme of the carnival revolved around “Earn while you learn”. This was in continuation with the “Skill Development and Entrepreneurial Opportunities Workshop” organised recently in the college. Home Scientists as young entrepreneurs displayed their skills and talents by putting up a number of stalls. Sh. B.L. Sharma, Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration (Chief Guest) and Sh. R.K Popli, Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration (Guest of Honour) inaugurated the carnival. Tiny tots of Chaitanya School put up an enthralling dance performance at the time of the inauguration, followed by a Jindua dance performance by the college youth. The various departments of the college put up fun psychological games, nutritious munchies, skill testing, display of textile upholstery, joy rides, junk stall, diet clinic/health mela to name a few. The chief guest and guest of honour highly appreciated the efforts of all the students. They enthusiastically participated in all the games and tasted the nutritious munchies. A huge footfall was seen during the carnival as students from all across the city of various schools and colleges joined in the festivities. It was a day filled with fun, dancing and creativity. The Principal, Dr Sudha Katyal congratulated the students for putting up a great show and showcasing their skills and expertise. They truly earned while they learned. The principal further applauded the efforts of all faculty members and appreciated the team effort put in to make this carnival a huge success.
