Enthusiastic Learning on Day 3 of Tex-Style Week at Home Science College

The Department of Clothing and Textiles, Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, continued the celebrations of Tex-Style Week with an innovative Peer Learning Workshop on Nail Weaving held on 17th September 2025.
The session conducted by Ms. Luxmi, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students.
The workshop focused on developing creative weaving skills using needles, twisted silk threads, machine attachments, and ivory sheets. Students actively engaged in learning the intricate art of nail weaving, which blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design applications. The peer learning approach not only enhanced technical skills but also encouraged collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and creativity among the participants. The session proved to be an enriching experience, empowering students with practical exposure to innovative textile techniques.
Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal, appreciated that the event added immense value to Tex-Style Week by inspiring students to explore novel design methods.
