GHSC-10 Celebrates 150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’

Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh celebrated the commemoration of 150 years of the iconic national song Vande Mataram with great zeal and patriotic fervour.
As part of the celebration, a mass singing of Vande Mataram was organized in the college premises wherein students and faculty joined voices to honour the spirit of unity and nationalism embodied in the song. The event aimed to instill pride in India’s rich cultural and historical heritage among the young generation.
Students also attended the live online address of the Honourable Prime Minister of India which was organised to mark this historic occasion and reflected on the timeless message of love and devotion to the motherland conveyed through ‘Vande Mataram’.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal emphasised the significance of the day. She further highlighted that Vande Mataram continues to inspire generations and strengthen the sense of national identity. She encouraged students to uphold the values of patriotism, unity and respect for the nation’s glorious legacy.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of pride and commitment towards the ideals enshrined in India’s freedom movement and national consciousness.
