GHSC-10 Celebrates Dussehra with Great Enthusiasm

Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, celebrated the festival of Dussehra with great zeal and fervour. The celebrations were organised by Chaitanya – A Laboratory Nursery School under the Department of Human Development on September 29, 2025. 

Tiny tots dressed up as Lord Rama, Sita, Hanuman and Ravana were adding vibrant colours of tradition and joy to the occasion. The programme began with the children reciting a beautiful poem dedicated to the festival followed by a symbolic ‘Ravan Dahan’ conducted in a safe and joyful manner. The event symbolised the triumph of good over evil and conveyed to the children the core message that truth and righteousness always prevail.

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, applauded the efforts of the staff and the department for organising the festivities. She further emphasised the importance of celebrating such cultural and traditional events to instil values and moral lessons in young minds.
