GHSC-10 Marks Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign by Tying Rakhis to Police and Defence Personnel

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, organized a heartfelt initiative to honour the selfless service of police and defence personnel from August 07-09, 2025. NSS Volunteers tied rakhis to the officers, expressing gratitude and solidarity while reinforcing the bond between citizens and the nation’s protectors.
The event aimed to acknowledge the unwavering commitment of security forces who safeguard the country’s peace and sovereignty, often staying away from their families during festivals. The gesture not only conveyed appreciation but also symbolized respect, unity and the spirit of Raksha Bandhan.
Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal applauded the students for their thoughtful gesture, stating that such acts of kindness and respect instill patriotic values, compassion and social responsibility among the youth. She emphasized that police and defence personnel are the pillars of national security, deserving the utmost honour and recognition.
