GHSC-10 Organised Series of Awareness Activities Under ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’

Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, actively participated in the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, an initiative of the Government of India to combat drug abuse, from September 27 to October 2, 2025. 

The college organized a series of impactful activities aimed at educating and sensitizing youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse. As part of the campaign, NSS volunteers presented a Nukkad Natak on the theme “Nasha se na ho jeevan andhiyaara, door rehkar banao isse pyaara”, conducted a Door-to-Door Campaign on “Say No to Drugs” and arranged an Awareness Session for resident students. More than 100 enthusiastic volunteers actively participated, spreading the message of a drug-free lifestyle.

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal appreciated the commendable efforts of the VADA Club and NSS wing, stressing the pivotal role of youth in spreading awareness and bringing social change. She further highlighted that such initiatives not only strengthen the fight against substance abuse but also empower students to build a healthier, more responsible, and drug-free India.
