GHSC-10 Organises Peer Learning Workshop on Nail Weaving

Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, continued the celebrations of Tex-Style Week with an innovative Peer Learning Workshop on Nail Weaving held on September 17, 2025.

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Luxmi which focused on developing creative weaving skills using needles, twisted silk threads, machine attachments and ivory sheets. Students actively engaged in learning the intricate art of nail weaving, which blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design applications. The peer learning approach not only enhanced technical skills but also encouraged collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and creativity among the participants. The session proved to be an enriching experience, empowering students with practical exposure to innovative textile techniques.

Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal, appreciated that the efforts of the Department of Clothing and Textiles for organising the workshop. She further emphasised that such events holds great significance and further inspires students to explore novel design methods.
