GHSC-10 Organises Series of Activities under Nation-wide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh organised a series of activities from October 28 to 31, 2025 as part of the Nation-wide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle among youth.

The week-long campaign included a variety of interactive and impactful activities such as a movie screening to sensitise students about the devastating consequences of drug addiction, an awareness rally to engage the larger community, a poster-making competition to encourage creative expression on the theme, pledge-taking ceremony to reinforce commitment towards a drug-free society and a powerful street play highlighting real-life issues related to substance abuse and its social implications.

A total of 84 students enthusiastically participated in these events showcasing their creativity, awareness and strong resolve to contribute to building a healthier and more responsible society.

Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal appreciated the efforts of VADA Club and NSS Wing for their active participation and commitment towards the cause. She emphasised that such initiatives play a crucial role in shaping responsible citizens and in realising the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
