GHSC-10 Organizes Poster Making Activity as a part of Poshan Mah Celebrations

Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, celebrated Poshan Mah by organising a Poster Making activity on the theme “Promoting Home Cooked Meals for Young adults" on September 24, 2025. 

The activity aimed to promote awareness about the importance of home cooked meals over significantly increased trend of ordering food from zomato,swiggy etc.This is an effort not only to promote healthy eating habits by carrying their own tiffin boxes but also to motivate them to cook for themselves. Participants through their posters, creatively showcased key messages on balanced life for young people which includes skill of cooking too, leading to change in mentality of hyping outside food over home cooked food. 
 Students actively participated and displayed strong commitment to the cause of public health & development.

Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of the college, lauded the efforts of the Department of Resource Management and Extension for successfully organizing the activity. She highlighted that the college consistently takes the lead in spreading awareness on such vital issues and reaffirmed its commitment to continue driving impactful initiatives in the future.
