Home Science Students Shine at 66th PU Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival Held at GGDSD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh

The students of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh brought laurels to the institution by excelling in various Heritage, Fine Arts, and Literary events during the 66th Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival held at Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector-32, Chandigarh on October 25–26, 2025.
In the Heritage category, Renu (B.Sc. Fashion Designing) bagged the First Prize in Khiddo Making while Shradha (B.Sc. Fashion Designing) won the First Prize in Knitting. Lakshmi (M.Sc. Fashion Designing) secured the Second Prize in Guddian Patole, Khushi Jain (B.Sc. Fashion Designing) achieved the Second Prize in Peerhi Making and Simran (B.Sc. Home Science) received the Second Prize in Crochet.
In the Fine Arts category, Bishnu (B.Sc. Fashion Designing) won the Second Prize in Still Life while in Literary items, Livjot Kaur (M.Sc. Food & Nutrition) earned the Third Prize in Elocution. Adding to the accolades, Samridhi (B.Sc. Home Science) bagged the Third Prize in Hindi Handwriting.
Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of the College, congratulated the winners and applauded their remarkable achievements. She lauded both students and mentors for their creativity, commitment and tireless efforts that continue to bring glory to the college.
