Home Science student brings laurels to the college

Riya, a student of B.Sc. Home Science (Composite), 3rd Year, brought laurels to the college by securing Third Prize in the Poster Making Competition at “ChemArt 2026 – Lab to Canvas: Turn Science into Art,” an Inter-College Competition organised by the PG Department of Chemistry, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh, on February 7, 2026.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various colleges across the Tricity, who creatively blended scientific concepts with artistic expression. The poster stood out for its originality, conceptual clarity and aesthetic appeal.

Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of the college, congratulated Riya on her commendable achievement. She emphasised that the institution actively encourages students to participate in co-curricular activities that foster knowledge, creativity and innovation.
