Home Science College Celebrates ‘Ganesh Chaturthi and Teej’

Home Science College today organised Ganesh Chaturthi and Teej celebrations on the college campus as part of the activities under IIC. The celebrations started with Ganesh Puja by the worthy Chief Guest, Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal. The students beautifully decorated the venue for the celebrations using colourful dupattas, hangings and handmade flowers and sang Ganesh Aarti. The staff members were adorned with colourful bangles, which is a tradition to celebrate Teej festivities. Furthermore, the students gave a mesmerizing  performance on Giddha- traditional folk dance. A stall of hand-decorated murti's of Lakshmi Ji and Ganesh Ji, handmade bags and beauty accessories was also displayed by the students.

The Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, applauded the efforts Department of Art and Family Resource Management for organizing the celebrations with such zeal Furthermore, she congratulated studentson their stupendous performances and also encouraged them to be connected with their culture, heritage and tradition.
