GHSC-10 Celebrates International Day for Preservation of Ozone Layer- 2022 16.09.22

The Environment Society ‘Haritha’ of the College celebrated International Day for Preservation of Ozone Layer today. The theme of the event was ‘’Global Cooperation Against Climate Change." World Ozone Day is observed on September 16 every year to spread awareness amongst people about the depletion of Ozone Layer and to find possible solutions to preserve it. Inter-college competitions like Poster Making, Slogan Writing and Bookmark Making were organised to create awareness about the importance of global cooperation to tackle the problem of depleting Ozone Layer and finding possible solutions to preserve it. Around 75 students participated wholeheartedly in the competitions.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, applauded the efforts of the participants for their powerful depiction of the significance of Ozone Layer for the Earth. Furthermore, she emphasized that students play a proactive role in sensitising the community to come together for fighting against climate change issues and insisted that such events go a long way to encourage the masses to make use of renewable energy to create a cleaner and greener planet for our coming generations.
