GHSC-10 Conducts Door-to-Door Campaign to Raise Awareness on Harmful Effects of Junk Food

As part of the ongoing Poshan Pakhwada initiative, Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, organized a door-to-door awareness campaign on April 21, 2025. The campaign aimed to educate the general public about the adverse effects of consuming junk food and to encourage the adoption of a healthy lifestyle.Led by the NCC cadets of the college, the awareness drive featured placards and slogan-raising to effectively communicate key health messages. The cadets interacted with residents, emphasizing the importance of nutritious eating habits and the long-term benefits of a balanced diet.Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal lauded the enthusiastic efforts of the NCC unit, appreciating their dedication to fostering health consciousness in the community. She emphasized that such initiatives play a crucial role in instilling healthy habits and promoting overall well-being among citizens.
