GHSC-10 Faculty Attended Two-Day Training Programme under the ‘Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram’

The teaching faculty of Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, participated in a two-day training programme under the Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram conducted in two batches from 27–28 July 2026 and 29–30 July 2026 at the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Sector-26, Chandigarh.The training programme was organised by the Department of Personnel and Training, Chandigarh Administration in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, the custodian of the Mission Karmayogiframework. The programme aimed to strengthen civil service reforms through capacity building and competency-based learning. It focused on enhancing the human resource capabilities of government institutions by developing both individual and institutional competencies, promoting citizen-centric governance, fostering future readiness and cultivating a culture of continuous learning across all levels of public administration.The programme featured interactive sessions on leadership, ethics, effective communication, public service delivery, teamwork, emotional intelligence, problem-solving and professional excellence. Through a combination of expert lectures, group discussions and experiential learning activities, the participants gained practical knowledge and valuable insights into enhancing their professional effectiveness and delivering quality public services.Principal of the College, Prof. Sudha Katyal, emphasised the significance of such capacity-building initiatives in strengthening professional competencies and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and lifelong learning among faculty members. She encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the programme in their academic and administrative responsibilities.
