GHSC-10 Observed 2-minute Silence to Pay Tribute to Freedom FightersÂ

Government Home Science College, Chandigarh observed the Martyrs’ Day with a deep sense of respect to Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters who shed their lives for getting independence from the British Empire and break the shackles of slavery and subjugation on January 30, 2025. In this regard two minute silence was observed by all the faculty members, students and non- teaching staff members. Teachers also highlighted the significance of the day and urged the students to become a responsible citizen by following the path of truth, compassion and service to humanity which formed the core philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi’s life.Principal of the college, Prof.Sudha Katyal emphasized the importance of the day and urged the students to remember the brave men and women who laid down their lives for India’s freedom.
