GHSC-10 Organises Awareness Rally Door to Door Campaign on Water Conservation & Management in Adopted VillageĀ

Government Home Science College organised an awareness rally emphasizing the importance of water conservation in adopted village of the college, Khuda Ali Sher on December 31, 2023. The rally was conducted by NSS Wing of the college which aimed to raise awareness among residents about the urgent need to preserve water. Volunteers raised slogans like “Save Water, Save Life” and “Every Drop Counts”, as they marched through the main streets of the village. The rally also highlighted the impact of water wastage and the importance of adopting sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting, reducing leakage, and using water judiciously. Volunteers also conducted door to door awareness campaign which focused on water conservation and emphasised the message of responsible water use. The campaign was widely appreciated by the residents of Khuda Ali Sher, who expressed their commitment towards becoming active stewards of water conservation in their area.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal applauded the efforts of NSS Wing in generating sensitisation regarding the critical concern of water management and conservation. She further emphasised that “With the growing water crisis, it is imperative that we act now to conserve water for ourselves and future generations.”
Prof. Katyal further in her concluding remarks stated that the college makes conscious efforts from time to time on water conservation thereby contributing significantly to the larger goal of sustainable water conservation and management.
