GHSC-10 organises Mental Health Awareness Workshops in Various Schools of Chandigarh 17.10.23

Department of Human Development of Government Home Science College organised a series of mental health awareness workshops in Government Model High School, Sector-25 & Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-8, Chandigarh respectively. Post Graduate students of Diploma Course in Child Guidance & Family Counselling conducted these workshops covering different aspects of mental health. Various interactive  fun activities were organised for the students of both the government schools to enhance their  mental health capacities. Furthermore, the workshops also included topics like dealing with anxiety and aggression etc. The  concluding session of the workshop focused on promoting moral education among students. More than 200 students participated in the workshops.Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal emphasised the significance of conducting such workshops and fostering mental health awareness and resilience within the community. She further appreciated the efforts of the teachers as well students of the department in contributing towards their commitment to enhance mental well-being and guiding individuals on their path to a brighter future.
