GHSC-10 Organizes Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition on Energy Conservation

The Energy Saving Brigade of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, successfully organized a Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition centered on the theme "Powering Sustainability: Every Watt Counts” on March 27, 2025. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the importance of energy conservation while encouraging students to channel their creativity into promoting sustainable practices.The competition received enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing remarkable artistic flair and literary talent. Through visually compelling posters and thought-provoking slogans, participants highlighted innovative approaches to energy conservation and sustainable living.In the Slogan Writing category, Manya from B.Sc. (Home Science) Semester IV clinched the first prize, followed by Riya in second place, and Divya in third, all from the same semester. In the Poster Making Competition, Ritika from Semester II earned the first prize, with Arpita and Nisha, also from Semester II, securing the second and third prizes, respectively.The winning entries were lauded for their impactful messaging and creative execution, effectively underlining the critical role of individual efforts in energy conservation.Commending the initiative, the Principal of the college appreciated the students’ participation and underscored the importance of adopting energy-efficient practices in daily life. She encouraged students to continue contributing toward a greener, more sustainable future through mindful and responsible actions.
