Home Science (Composite) students presented two engaging puppet shows centered on the theme "How to Stay Away from Mobile Phone Addiction". The first performance cleverly used humor to portray a young boy excessively addicted to his phone, leading his family to mistakenly believe the problem was supernatural, until they discovered the real issue was digital dependence. The second show depicted how mobile distraction almost led a family to miss out on celebrating a meaningful occasion, ultimately encouraging them to disconnect and value quality time together.
Both performances effectively highlighted the adverse effects of excessive screen time on health, mental well-being, interpersonal relationships, and mindfulness. Through compelling storytelling and creative presentation, the shows inspired the audience to reflect on their digital habits and embrace a more balanced lifestyle.Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of the college, commended the Department of Resource Management and Extension for their innovative initiative. She emphasized that such creative endeavors serve as timely reminders to maintain a healthy digital balance and foster genuine human connections in today's tech-driven world.
