GHSC - 10 Principal participated in Seminar at Punjab Raj Bhavan

Principal Prof Sudha Katyal and faculty member Dr. Namrata Sethi took part in a One day Seminar on Making Chandigarh Colleges Autonomous at Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh. The seminar was presided over by Hon. Governor of Panjab and UT Administrator Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria.  Officials of the Chandigarh Administration and Principals of all colleges across the city were a part of this prestigious occasion.

The event started with context setting by Prof. Jaspal Sandhu Advisor (Higher Education) to Honbl. Governor. Sh. R Manoj UGC Joint Secretary and Dr. Ravinder Singh Pardeshi former Principal Ferguson College, Pune spoke about the UGC Regulations governing Autonomous Colleges and their working as first hand experience. The seminar further explored views from all stakeholders including Vice Chancellor P. U. Prof. Renu Vig on pros and cons of Chandigarh colleges becoming autonomous. The seminar was immensely beneficial for all stakeholders and successfully cleared all doubts regarding colleges working towards autonomy.
