Govt. Home Science College Joins Efforts to Revive Traditional Nutrition at Punjab Raj Bhavan Event

The faculty of Government Home Science College participated in an event at Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh, organized by the Deendayal Research Institute (DRI). The esteemed gathering was graced by the Honourable Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, along with other distinguished dignitaries from various educational institutions.A key highlight of the event was the launch of the Poshan Utsav book, a significant publication by DRI. The book aims to revive traditional nutritional practices, fostering intergenerational learning and knowledge exchange. It serves as a comprehensive resource celebrating India's rich culinary heritage and diverse nutritional traditions.In his address, Honourable Governor, Punjab and UT Administrator, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria emphasized the urgent need to embrace and promote traditional Indian dietary practices. He also advocated for integrating the philosophy of ‘Integral Humanism’, as envisioned by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, to pave the way for the holistic development of the nation.
