HOME SCIENCE COLLEGE OFFERS INCUBATION FACILITY/ CO-WORKING SPACE TO ITS STUDENTS AND ALUMNI

Government Home Science College takes initiative to offer its well equipped laboratories of various departments to provide incubation facility/co-working space to its students and alumni. This is with an aim to promote, create, innovate and nurture their entrepreneurial skills. The students and alumni are invited to use these laboratories to update their entrepreneurial skills with the help of various equipments and technical expertise of the faculty and mentors in the college.

The incubation facility/co-working space will also help the students to expand their ventures to large scale enterprises. The students will be equipped with necessary proficiencies for a wide variety of careers. The much sought after department of Clothing and Textiles has Advanced Garment Construction labs, Weaving lab, Dyeing lab, Printing lab, Knitting lab, Textile Chemistry lab,Textile testing lab, Computer lab with with latest softwares like CAD Software Tuka Cad and Tuka Studio, Corel Draw, AutoCad, Photoshop, Rich peace Fashion & Textile Designing Studio. The advanced and much in demand field of Foods and nutrition, labs offered as incubation facility/co-working space are Food and Nutrition labs, Nutritional Biochemistry lab, Microbiology lab, food science lab, Nutritional Assessment lab and Institutional Food Administration Laboratory/Cafeteria.The department of Family resource Management that focuses on imparting students with the knowledge to enhance functionality, aesthetics and ergonomics of interior spaces, various labs available are Family Resource Management Lab, Furnishing Lab, Design studio, AutoCAD Lab and Ergonomics lab. For the students in the field of Human Development and Family Relations, the college offersGuidance and Counseling Laboratory . and Laboratory Nursery School.

The incubation facility/co-working space initiated by the college will act as a catalyst for maximizing the students' professional growth potential.
