Home Science faculty and students attend Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Startup Conclave

With an aim to enhance practical knowledge about Entrepreneurship and Start-ups, students of B.Sc Home Science- 6th Sem along with faculty member Dr. Shabana Gandhi,  attended CII NR Startup Conclave organized by  Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Northern region, Headquarters on January 24,2020. The conclave focused on deliberating various challenges and potential of setting of Start-ups in UT, Chandigarh. HE Shri VP Singh Badnore, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh was the chief guest and key speaker for the session.  Various deliberations and interactive sessions of the event helped the students to understand about various Government initiatives, International outreach and role of Incubators and accelerators and the Art and Science of fund raising for startups. The startup conclave benefitted the students and motivated them to think out of box.

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, appreciated the students for showcasing interest in Entrepreneurship and start-ups and motivated them to adopt practical strategies to set up their own enterprises and move ahead with appropriate knowledge by tapping multiple funding sources for their start-ups.
