Home Science Girls Rocks at Aakriti 2017

The Clothing and Textiles department of Home Science College showcased the unique and innovative collections created by the budding young designers of the college in an annual fashion show 'Aakriti'. Dolly Ahluwalia, renowned film actor and costume designer was the chief guest and Anju Yadav was the guest of honor. The extravaganza witnessed a wide array of 17 themes ranging from Bohemo-La-Novia to LGBT to Rush Blush.Best collection prize was awarded to Preeti, Veenita and Shivani of B.Sc. (Fashion Designing) 6th semester for their tantalizing drapery accentauated with sparkling sequins on the theme 'Masquerade'. Scintillating Gaiety collection conceptualised by Ekta, Payal and Jaskirat of B.Sc. (Fashion Designing) 6th semester was declared the most wearable collection. Mrs. Dolly Ahluwalia appreciated the efforts of the talented students and motivated them to extend their creative horizons and excel in their chosen field.The audience was enthralled by the fascinating magical presentation of luxurious and flowing fabrics highlighting the amalgamation of ethnic and modern culture.
