Interclass Badminton Championship

The Physical Education Department of Government Home Science College organized an Interclass Badminton Championship. The event commenced with great zeal and fervor among the students. Participation was reported in large number by the students. The Badminton Championship included both singles and doubles. About 29 girls participated in singles while 25 girls volunteered for doubles. All the girls participated with full sportsman spirit and unity. Anjali of Bsc Home Science 2nd year secured the first position in Singles. Diljot Kaur Sidhu ranked the second position in while Kulsum adjudged the third position. Diljot Kaur Sidhu and Mansi Jindal of Bsc Home Science 2nd year achieved the first position in Doubles. Ankita Prasad and Pooja Sharma were the first runner up whereas Harleen Kaur and Chandni attained the third position. All the winners were felicitated with medals and certificates.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, congratulated all the winners and encouraged more of such participation by the students along with their regular courses. She also appreciated the efforts of the Sport's captain, Sarmishtha Sharma for the conduct of the event and applauded all the participants for their outstanding performances.
