MEDICINAL HERBS PLANTED AT GOVT. HOME SCIENCE COLLEGE TO OBSERVE POSHAN PAKHWADA

In sync with the governments initiative of observing Poshan Pakhwada from March 16 to March 31,2021, Government Home Science College inaugurated the celebrations with planting medicinal herbs in the college herbal garden. 

The theme of this year's Poshan Pakhwada revolves around "My Kitchen, My Dispensary". Keeping this is mind, medicinal herbs like ajwain, tulsi, Basil, elaichi, lemon grass, parsley and oregano were planted. 

A number of activities have been planned to help spread the message of use and importance of herbs in our daily cooking 

Principal Prof Sudha Katyal encouraged everyone to spread the message of incorporating these medicinal herbs in the daily diet to help in immunity boosting and therapeutic properties.
