Orientation Programme at Home Science College

The comprehensive orientation program was conducted to support new students as they begin their journey for undergraduate, post graduate and diploma courses in Home Science College, Chandigarh on July 31,2017.The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Principal of the College ,Prof. Sudha Katyal along with the senior faculty members. Prof. Sudha Katyal instilled confidence among students with her highly motivational address and urged them to follow the path of 3D's i.e. Desire, Dedication and Discipline in their life. She advocated the students to have burning aspiration to succeed and achieve short term and long term goals in life with perseverance and restraint. She encouraged the students to get familiar with the campus and utilize the college resources. She assured the students that she and her dedicated faculty will fully support the new students in adjusting to the college environment and helping them in changing their dreams into reality. The faculty members introduced themselves and gave a brief outline about their subjects and their respective departments. Students were apprised on diverse aspects concerning them like scholarships, fee concessions, anti ragging, examination rules, student elections, NSS, NCC , hostel rules, as well about various clubs like Environment, Red Ribbon , Dramatics, Happiness and Well Being, Ginger etc where they can showcase their talent and make themselves and college proud by participation and winning awards.The programme concluded with taking all the students around the college with the aim of making them acquainted with college departments and infrastructure.
