PRIZES GALORE FOR HOME SCIENCE COLLEGE ON THE FIRST DAY OF PANJAB UNIVERSITY ZONAL YOUTH & HERITAGE FESTIVAL ZONE-B AT GURU GOBIND SINGH KHALSA COLLEGE FOR WOMEN,JHAR SAHIB

The students of Government Home Science College bagged many prizes in various competitions of Music and Heritage Items held on the first day of Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival Zone-B  held at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College for Women, Jhar Sahib on November 22, 2021. In Music items, the college secured first position in the Bhajan and third position in Group song category. The Bhajan & Group song team of the college comprised of Bhavika Anand and Meha from M.Sc (FN) Ist Semester, Archita and Sirounika  respectively  of B.Sc (H.Sc) 1st Semester, Arti of B.Sc (H.Sc) Vth Semester and Anju of B.Sc (H.Sc) IIIrd Semester. Arti of B.Sc.(H.Sc) Vth Semester also won Individual prize in group song team. Bhavika Anand of M.Sc (FN) Ist Semester won Second position in Geet Category. In the category of Heritage items, Kiran of M.Sc. Clothing & Textiles Ist Semester won First Prize in Raasa Vatna and Naina of B.Sc Fashion Designing Vth Semester won Second Prize in Khiddo Making.

Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of the college, congratulated the winners and highly appreciated the efforts of students and their mentors for their extreme hard work and dedication.
