Second Day of the NSS Training program

Second day of the NSS Training programme witnessed an array of talks on various interesting topics. Mr. Davinder Ahuja and Mr. Altaf Husain from a renowned NGO 'Humane Society International India' delivered a talk on care, maintenance and rescue of animals. The audience viewed various videos related to the rescue operations of street dogs and farm animals. In their talk they also stressed upon various drawbacks of eating non-vegetarian foods. During the forenoon session, Mrs Neelam Kumari, Assistant Professor in the department of Human Development & Family Relations focused on parenting skills, gender equality, laws related to children and women for their welfare, engaging children in creative activities and role of parents in children academics. Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal also emphasized on the role of good parenting and its contribution in making families happy. She appreciated the whole event and urged the audience to make best use of those strategies which can minimize the gap between parents and their children.
