Home Science College contributed towards Waste to Wealth Mission

Aligning with the "Swacch Bharat Mission" of Government of India, the Environment Society “Harita” of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh in collaboration with Swarmani Youth Welfare Association contributed towards the Waste to Wealth Mission i.e. “Lets make our Chandigarh Single Use Plastic and E-waste Free”. The various stakeholders were informed about the harmful effects of Single Use Plastic and E-waste in their everyday lives. Faculty members along with the students contributed towards the collection of Single Use Plastic and E-waste in the college premises.

The Principal of the College, Prof. Sudha Katyal, motivated  the students to disseminate the information related to the harmful effects of Single Use Plastic and E-waste in their localities. She also encouraged them to adopt environment friendly approaches in their lives and motivate others also towards environmental sustainability and make their contribution towards government’s key initiative towards ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’.
