WORKSHOP ON ENTREPRENEURIAL VENTURES FOR NUTRITIVE CAKES, COOKIES & CHOCOLATES

One day capacity building workshop for Entrepreneurial Ventures in Nutritive Cakes, Chocolates and Cookies was held at Home Science College on October 17, 2018, under the aegis of RUSA . Founder Baker of Polka & Vinnie's, Mr. Vinod Sidhu, an acclaimed baker, who is also working as a part time faculty in Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management, gave hands on demonstration on Eggless brownie's, healthy Cakes, Whole wheat and Corn cookies, Stuffed baked whole wheat kulcha and decorative Chocolates. Cake Icing techniques were also demonstrated. Mr. Vinod has more than 20 years of experience crafting all sorts of treats, from cookies, bars and scones to creative cakes. As a successful bakery owner, Mr. Vinod shared his experience of setting up of entrepreneurial ventures in bakery to the Post Graduate students. The workshop was attended by more than 75 participants including faculty members and students. Principal Prof.Sudha Katyal urged the students to empower themselves with skills so as to use the same for being job creators rather than job seekers.
