Counselling Cell “Aasha”

Counselling is a helping process where one person gives his /her time, attention and skills to assist an individual to explore the situation & manage Stress, and to facilitate inter or intra personal issues.

With the intent to address and help resolve emotional and psychological issues of the students, the college has initiated “Counselling Cell- Aasha” in the college premises with the help of a trained team of faculty members as Counselors.

The aim of Counseling cell is to provide comprehensive guidance programs and services that will equip students with necessary knowledge, attitude and skills to become mature and socially responsible individuals. The cell is active in offering opportunities to the students to talk about their personal grievances, seek remedy through self-introspection which is very fruitful in finding solutions to many problems.

Members of the Counselling Cell provide individual counselling offline (at the College) as well as online Counselling Services. The counsellors pay attention to each individual compassionately and channel them to subsume with their tribulations through reflection and self-awareness. The cell guides the students of the College to enhance their overall personality.

Objectives:

  • To facilitate students to unravel their Personal, Academic and Psychological issues

  • To counsel students through individual counselling sessions based on their needs.

  • To normalize maladjusted behavior and assist students to move in the direction of fulfilling their potentials.

  • To Help the students to overcome examination stress or fear.

  • To Assess students through Psychological modes like testing and measurement.

  • To conduct workshops, seminars and special events
